ya thats the only thing that is holding me back...what it will sound like under load/while driving. As Don_w and I have both experienced, LM/straight pipes without cats and a mid-pipe create a trumpeting sound. The only thing that gets rid of it is 1. adding the cats back in or 2. adding a chambered muffler. Now, if these FRPP (non chambered mind you) mufflers get rid of the trumpeting like a chambered muffler would...then I am solt.
Its a catch 22.....to get loud.....you have to remove restriction. To get a deep, growling, muscle sound....you have to have some restriction. Finding the happy median is the problem.
so we will see.

And as it turns out, hi-flow cats aren't enough "restriction" to cure it either.
So, Richard... you try the FRPP/Borlas and I'll try the Bassanis, and then we'll meet somewhere to hear them both.

well, they were enough on my car. Once I put the bassani hi flows back in to the set up...combined with the shorty headers, xpipe, and straight pipe exhaust....the trumpeting was eliminated...especially where it was the worst at ~2,500k under load. I have a video on my site that shows it. BUT....I want something that is deeper and more growly.
but yes, we definitly can meet up to compare.

I wonder if it is just the difference between the STs and the LTs then?

If I had to guess I would say the frpp trumpet but not as bad as the lm. Or maybe they trumpet as bad but have a different tone to it. I think the best idea is for yall to meet and compair them side by side. I dont know if yall will like the frpp or not. It does have a much different sound under load at 2500 but the rest of the rpms sound so good I am overlooking it

I have heard borla stinger's and a bassani catted x-pipe in person and it sound's really good. It would sound even better with an h-pipe . Slp and prochamber sound's better though.

I cant really hear the intake over the exhaust...it just makes the exhaust sound better I guess. Different flow of air I suppose....im totaly happy with it tho. I just need some headers either LT or short's....probably lt's.
