BMR Carbon Fiber Drive Shaft !
#3
Scott... for everyday street use or for most serious racing applications, you would be ahead with an one piece aluminum driveshaft..
I haven't seen a carbon fiber shaft advertised for less than $900, of course, I haven't looked all that much. The carbon fiber will only gain you a little less weight than the aluminum. They are supposed to be stronger. They do have a down side. If they get damaged (scored or nicked) from contact with something and fail, they are dangerous because of the way they come apart. The shaft tend to shatter into lots of shards of razor sharp pieces.
Buy a good aluminum Spydershaft or another of your choice and use the $400 to $500 savings to get some other mod for your car.
Just my opinion...

Thanks Bobby! Don't worry I wasn't planning on buying one, Just wanted some feedback! I worked with Carbon Fiber when I was in the aerospace industry and we dealt with many of the same issues as you covered in your post ! most of the adhesion laminates are still very suspect IMO ! Thanks Again....
