when you buy a blower like whipple,salleen,kenney bell or who ever some come with a simple plug in tuner.can these be set up from the kit supplier for a motor with long tube neaders and differant rear gears?

 

Depends on who is selling the kit. I'd "generally" say no, but some people may be able to accomidate you. You'll just have to ask around.

Besides, when getting blown, I'd have it custom tuned anyway

 

If I were you I would ship the tuner off to a reputable tuner for the S197's. Tell them your situation and they'll gladly set you up. You'll get a much better tune out of it too.

 

YES! You can have KB at least alter for gears, headers, offroad h-pipe, etc...They know people have more than just stock cars...just let them know when you order the kit from KB. I would assume Whipple and Saleen could also do this due to customer satisfaction...

 

If you go the Whipple route Ford Racing can only account for tire size and gears. They couldn't account for my JBA LT's. My car ran ok. I just got a custom tune on Doug (Bamachips) portable dyno at our show this weekend and he really woke up my GT. If you get blown, get a custom tune!!!!!
