I'm currently running an offroad x with flowmaster 40s but just today I got pulled over by my local cops and they said it was to loud. Now I like the way it sounds now (maybe a little less rasp would be nice) but I was trying to think of a way to quiet it down just a little bit. I was thinking of going with a catted H pipe or even just getting cats for my x I have now. What do yous guys think is the best setup ?

 

Or you can look into resonators as an alternative, but I don't think you can wrong with either a catted H-pipe or a pair of high-flow cats for your X-pipe..

 

I was looking into resonators because their a little cheaper then buying a new h pipe.

 

I just ended up ordering slp high flow cats for my x pipe. Hoping it tames it down a bit.

 

I think you made a good choice with the SLP high-flow cats.. If they don't tame your exhaust quite enough ? you can always add the resonators along with the x-pipe and high-flow cats..
