BBK long tube headers for the 05-07 GT?
Does anyone know if bbk makes a long tube header for the 05-07 mustang gt's? I have friend who has a set of cermic longtubes for sale and he says they fit a 4.6 new model mustang? Any help? thanks rob
Yes BBk does offer long tubes or atleast this is what their site says, I would ask him the part number and then compare it to this site..

BBK's quality is always very nice, and horsepower-wise I'm sure they work great. They do not offer an O/R H, however there is an O/R X that is available.
There is no pricing on them just yet, but I assume they'll be around the same as the 1635 X Pipe for 1996-2004 Full Lengths ($179). I think that the gains will be a little bit more than the H-pipe setup, but I'd have to get a set on a car and dyno it to be sure. I might have the opportunity to do that in a few weeks here. Those Headers/X-Pipes should be shipping by then.

Let us know what you find out. I'm very interested in this set up. I had always planned to go w/ JBA LT's and their off road h pipe, but BBK sounds like it may be a little better deal.
I just checked BBK'S site and they have an off road x-pipe. What are the advantages/disadvantages of the "X" and "H" pipes? Is one more free flowing, does one cause more or less back pressure? Which one would be better for my set up which is a GT automatic transmission w/ a non intercooled whipple?
This is a battle that is going to breakout in a hot debate...
I have heard NUMEROUS times that XPipes flow better, because they actually create a vacuum affect when the gas flows criss cross together. The reason that the HPipes are popular is because they sound less "metallicy" than an X Pipe. I have dynod a bone stock (K&N Drop-in) on a 2001 Mustang GT with a UPR Xpipe and replaced with a Hedman Hpipe. The X Pipe made 4whp more than the H.

Yes, the X made more than the Hpipe, sorry.
As far as the headers go... call up BBK. Alot of people list things when the part#/pricing is a available. Doesn't mean they were in stock. Point being, BBK is now shipping both items.
