I'm thinking of getting louder mufflers again, should have never sold the Borla's.

I have been looking at the Bassani axle backs and was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on these two axle backs? I assume the the canister mufflers will drone like the Borla's.

 

I had the set on the right about 2 years ago....... good sounding muffler, did drone a little with the factory midpipe. Didn't sound very good with an offroad midpipe, that's why I sold them.

The set on the left I have not had, but have heard several times and they sound good, similar to Borlas but not as deep IMO. I do not know if they drone with the factory midpipe but would think that they would, more so than the set on the right.

 

I had the bassani's. I loved them, until it rained or was cold out and I had to put the windows up. The drone wasn't too bad, but I always felt bad if I had company in the car, cuz...well it's not pleasent going up hill in 5th gear @ 2k RPMs.

But the sound was totally badass. IMHO, there was no need for LT's or mid pipes...it had such a deep exotic sound. But I went with the GTAs...loud at WOT and deep(but not as deep as Borla and bassani). IF you don't mind a little drone, bassani's are great!

 

Selling your Borlas... psh.
