Bassani Axle Back Install/Interesting Discovery
I installed the Stainless Bassani Axle Back system today in my garage. A set of ramps and a 14mm deep well, some WD-40, and some elbow grease was all that was needed.
WOW what a difference! Nice DEEP growl at startup and deep grumble at idle. Signifigantly louder than stock, but still quiet at cruising speed. A little drone here and there, but tolerable. The tips look GREAT too, very high quality!!
Also, I found that my stock mufflers were labeled AOA, even though my car is a manual. I always thought the AOA were autos, and GOG was for manuals. Strange. Yet another inconsitency on Ford's part! (for further inconsistency reading search for "Active alarm battery" and see what you find)
Anyway, I'll try and take a few pics tomorrow before work.
