Now, I would definitely go with this shaft over the Coastline in a heartbeat!

These guys putting on the group buy Piedmont Modular Performance (PMP) are top tier in customer service! They make sure to do all their research on each and every part that they sell, and they will never try to up sell anything. I've bought many parts from these guys and am glad to call Josh and Kevin friends!

Waiting to see if it fits with the Saleen short throw shifter adaptor. Great buy and I hope to do it if it fits!

Well actually, under the adaptor it is more like 2.78 so the clearance is very small. I am playing it safe rather than sorry. Denny's told me they would make me a custom shaft for the same price if needs be.

all for the saleen adapter? no offense if you really liek it but why bother. get a ncie shifter like the hurst if your a street driver or the Pro 5.0 if your a track junkie. they are both great units and they get rid of the slop of the Saleen adapter. my friend has the saleen adapter and yes it shortens the throw but it is sloppy as all hell

Everyone complains about the stock shifter but with the Saleen adaptor I have NEVER missed a shift or had any problems. Every around thinks the Hurst is junk. The Pro 5.0 is good but all aftermarket shifters have noise problems among other problems. I am waiting on the MGW one to come out since everyone speaks very highly of that shifter and the new upgrades for it sound good too. Long story short is that I like the adaptor and having one made for it to fit is not a big deal. Even if I change shifters later I can still use the new driveshaft.

the hurst sucks as a track shifter but its great for a regular daily driver. no one says you miss a shift with the saleen adapter but the shifter is very sloppy with the adapter on. it shortens the stock throw but increases the sloppiness of the stock shifter. the pro 5.0 is an all around good shifter, even better forthe track. i have no added NVH from the shifter at all. the MGW one has been coming out for over a year. next month, next month, next month is all they ay so dont hold your breath. no one said dont have one made but i think its a whole lot of work for a sloppy adapter. its my opinion and you dont have to agree. do what you like its your car. thats the beauty of modificatinos. everything fits an individual differently

Can anybody tell me if the installation of such a driveshaft can be done by yourself or are there special ford tools needed? Are there installation sheets also shipped? Would there be an shipping to germany also possible or could help me somebody to make an international shipping possible?

it can be done completely by yourself. its easier on a lift for obvious reasons but it can be dont on jack stands for sure. the only "special tool" needed isnt all that special to begin with. Just a socket set, locktite, and a torque wrench basically.

When you purchase the DS through the GP, you can tell them to build it so the slip joint mounts to the tranny vs the diff. This will allow the Saleen adapter to fit.
