It seems like a lot of the suspension components are geared more towards getting the car hook up for drag racing. That is great, but I would like to make my Stang handle better and respond more precisely. My first thought would be to lower the car and add stickier tires. I plan on tracking the car, so I am going to run R-compounds. Sway bars would also help a lot too I would think. What else should I do to improve the handling??? I plan on tracking the car later in the year.

A front strut tower brace will help for sure. This company: http://www.bmrfabrication.com/2005Mustang.htm has a large list of items for these cars. Items like that are a good place to start.

I agree, the strut brace will make an immediate improvement. Money well spent IMO.

If you want to keep the stock geometry after lowering it then Steeda X5 Ball Joints and the Control Arm relocation Kit, for other general track performance Coil overs(www.mustangcontrol.com) or Eibach Sportline Springs and Tokico Shocks, Front Strut Bar, Front Sway Bar, Rear Shock Tower Brace, Rear Sway Bar, Panhard Bar, Panhard Brace and full length sub frames but no one makes any for the 05 I don't believe yet, hope that helps ya ~Trent

If you look under the new stang you will see the sub frame goes all the way back now. They can be taught.
