Bamachips 91 tq tune out performs 91 race tune at the 1/8 mile

I took my car to the 1/8 mile track today. The DA was around 3800' My first two runs I had Doug's 91 race tune. My times were:
60' 2.371
E.T 9.347
MPH 80.411
Sea level corrected: 8.9132 at 84.376

Next run: 60' 2.257
E.T 9.297
MPH: 78.007
corrected: 8.8657 at 82 MPH

Here are my times with the tq tune:
Best time: 60' 1.980
E.T 8.970
MPH: 80.885
corrected: 8.553 at 84.9 MPH

Next run: 60' 2.203
E.T 9.188
MPH: 80.231
corrected: 8.761 at 84.2 MPH

That doesn't supprise me at all. The torque tune has always "felt" faster to me. There are still people who believe the "race" tune is far more agressive than the "performance" tune when Doug himself has said it's the performance tune with tweaks to throttle response.

My torque tune from bama ripped me right out of the hole, it has been my fav tune for getting off the line. I, personally think it feels flat after about 4krpm, however, which is past the bread-and-butter area for the quarter mile run. Thats where the race tune felt better for me, not so much in the first 2 gears.

I talked to Alex at Bamachips and he thought the Race tune would have been faster because of the throttle response.

I've tested my 93 Torque and 93 Performance tunes at the track on two seperate occasions; Torque was .05-.10 quicker and .50-.75mph faster both times. Differences are probably negligible at best for both, gaining in one portion, down a couple of hp in another. Torque tune might help get its fat *** moving a little quicker. Even his website says its only a few hp difference. No one ever posts dyno numbers for all three tunes, so here's some real world testing for proof.

Doug said there is about a 1-3 hp difference among the tunes running the same octane.
