I believe Scott (70Mach1owner) has used a couple of different tunes from both Doug and Brenspeed, not sure if he has raced them though.

Hey both you John's
Hiznherponies is correct. I have both Doug's and Brenspeeds 93 octane tunes on my tuner and have run them both on the street and on the dyno. Both are great and both put down equal HP and torque # within about 2-4 hp. I have never raced either tune so I can't say anything about either of them. I am headed to Brenspeeds for a Friday cam install and custom dyno tune. I am sure Brent will be able to ween a couple of more ponies for me over his email ordered tune. However, I have no favorites when it comes to the emailed tunes. They are equal. For the record I am running Doug's performance tune not his torque tune that is getting some bad press lately!

So, since the Torque tune seems risky, what's better, the Race or Performance tune, and what the heck are the differences?

I have both the perf and race tunes, with an auto. To me, the main difference is in the throttle response and the trans tuning, which I won't get into as you have a manual... With the race tune, the car seems to be a lot more sensitive to throttle input, to the point where I find it a touch twitchy on the street. The perf tune just runs like a raped ape, but is more comfortable to drive at part-throttle, at least for me. I don't think there's a bit of difference between them at WOT, but on the track, the race tune's trans programming is killer.

I don't know why but my mustang kept going into limp home mode with the CAI and tune.
I think I'll contact Doug after my midterms and finals pass. I've been so busy these days...

I've had the stock box and tune for a couple days and everything seems fine.

And the CAI and tune ran fine for about 5 months now, so I don't know what could have caused the sudden change.

do you guys think cleaning the filter has anything to do with it?

I guess I should've been more specific.
I meant not cleaning it.

I'm going to throw on the C&L one more time this weekend when my tank of 87 is emptied, and hopefully, HOPEFULLY there will be no problems.

Can someone guide me step by step on how to capture the DTC codes?
