Thats a good question, that I do not know about....... e-mail B&M, see what they say...

so why didnt you drive back over to my house? i could really go for going t a ride in that, i had a line for rides in the boss later on...

that would be a fair trade, get your shifter installed, get a ride in the 75th rarest mustang of all time, and in return a short ride in the 05 for a friend!!! lol
but at least i got a nifty t-shirt, good times as always man. your lucky i love working on cars.

Haha, my bad cheese, I had errand to run for my parents b4 they left for Boston, I would of came back over if I could, but wasnt able to, call me sometime next week, we'll make arrangements for a ride in the boss and a spin in the 05, hopefully I'll have my pulleys in by then.

actually i think that is caused by two things.

1. They are still using rubber bushings to isolate the shifter instead of switching to harder polyurethane bushings which would transmitt more vibration.

2. There was a small piece of dynamat on the bottom of the plate that i noticed. It was pretty neat and at first i was wondering why it was there. you can just see it in two of the install pics tken from under the car.

the lack of drivetrain noise is a good thing for most, but you know what for me i think i would like some gear whine..... Because then it would sound like the toploader in my boss with the hurst shifter!!!!

this is an excellent product, the installation was a breeze, and the afects were astonishing, not just in the shorter throw but the feel of the shifter is top notch i would like to take a look at one with a hurst in it.

although to add one more thing,

i think it would be nice to change the handle to make the old school look like the hurst allows.

i dont know which i would rather have, but the choice would be cool. And from what paul said ot me, the B&M is a nicer piece then the hurst

well here is a newer pic. The car has no hood on it, i need to get some better shots up on a server. get a few of the interior and what not

you may notice the aircleaner stud is a yard long, i call it the r/c car antenna. This pic is about a month old. I have the hood on now and the car is driving awesome.

i should start a thread about this on another part of the forums. Hopefully i will have an 05+ soon

Yeah the good old convertible, that ones in pretty rough shape. Now that i am done building up the boss again, i can start on that one.

I have to clean the interior up on the boss a little better, left the winodws open when it was in front of my bouse the other day, the interior is full of pine needles now. Good pics though Paul!!

Hey Guys,

You know I installed this shifter last weekend. At first I liked it very much. But it is noisy. I am getting some serious noise it seems like from this shifter. Especially when I really get on it. At first I thought maybe it was an engine noise. But the more I listen carefully with the radio off and the windows up I am convinced the noise is resonating from the shif kit. I don't remember my GT making this much noise before the shifter.

Can you comment on the amount of noise you do or do not get after this install. Maybe I overtightened the rear plate mount nuts (the two rear nuts with the rubber spacers between the body and the shift plate)? I can't imagine that that would be the cause of so much more noise. Perhaps some cars trannys are just noisier than others and I got a noisy one.

At this point I may need to remove it. It really is intolerable.

Unfortionately I can't report any noise, for I don't notice a difference in the sound of the vehicle when I had the stock shifter in vs the B&M in right now. It sounds exactly the same!

Check out these guys. I paid $156 including shipping. I'll probably put it in this weekend. BTW, it's not on the website, you'll have to call them.

Just finished installing my B&M shifter. It shifts great but is a bit noisy. I'll call B&M on Monday and find out what to do about it.
Next install, Saleen Supercharger! It's sitting in my dining room, came in yesterday. I'll install it over Thanksgiving weekend.
