Has onyone installed one these? http://www.autometer.com/cat_accesso...l.aspx?vid=202

Just wondering is it installs the same as a raptor shift light or if I need to buy other stuff to make it work...

I have the Raptor and now that I see that Autometer I wish I had gotten the Autometer one for the RPM display and multicolor selection...

Autometer level 2 gauge type

I've got this one.

I use a FRPP tach adapter to get a tach signal.

Works perfect.

No need for the tach adpater. just hook up the autometer to any coil, just don't use the red wire and set the autometer to .5 to get the correct RPM's. Works great.

I wonder what the diameter of this thing is? I might want to replace the raptor with this if it would fit in the cig lighter w/the PMP holder.

Is there anything wrong with the Raptor light or does it simply come down to a matter of cost?

here are my pictues..

I used the last coil wire on the drives side..white with red stripe....same one taco used with raptor light. For power used an add a circuit in the fuse box and just grounded to a bolt at the steering shaft. I like it...at first wasn't too sure about it but now It is growing on me. Kinda of neat will be more useful when I install the supercharger I am sure. Thanks

That is not a 7k light coming on...I just turned it off....so you could see the light. Thanks

Nothing wrong with the raptor at all. I would just like the capability to set diff lights for diff shift points/gears.

Thanks man! Hooking her up now.

I hope that's not the actual shift light at 7k... Because you're about to hit an Expedition...

Word... I got the Lvl 2 which also has the launch setting. The rator can only be set to one rpm setting. The Autometer has 5 shift settings and the launch.

Nevermind... Looks like it's .5..

One more question...

Where did you route the blue wire ? I attached it to the Clutch switch. It's does not seem to be picking up a signal... (Launch setting).

Since my rev limiter is set to 6800rpm, I set mine at 6400rpm. i'll play with it to see what works best...

RPM Shift Point

I thought the shift point on our 4.6 stock engines was about 6,000? Are they really up at 6,800?
I guess I need to look at some stock dyno runs.
