My 06 vert never chirped on a shift and had trouble spinning from a stop, until I got my CAI and SCT tune from Paul's High Performance. Now it will do a great donut, chirps on 1-2 and 2-3 shift. When I passed a guy the other day on a 2 lane highway, it did a great chirp at 60 mph as it grabbed 3rd gear - that's with the stock gears!

I had some fun with some old friends of my a couple of weeks ago. One with an 07 GT stick and the other with a BMW 330i with 6 speed stick. they both kind of laughed at my auto, until they drove it

 

Colder temperature like 70 will help to smoke the tires.

 

Agreed. I havent been able to chirp mine since mid March.
