This is probably a dumb question but that has never stopped me before. Is there any benefit for a auto trans guys?

Not a dumb question, but no, the torque limiters won't do you any good, but the K member brace would. The BMR one is pretty beefy. I have both and if I end up not running the torque limiters, then I'm putting the BMR back on.

I'm going to play with the torque limiters next week to see if I can find a sweet spot that will make it go away or at least lessen the noise.

mine used to make so much noise.. even while idle, i'd feel something clunking under the car.
spoke to CHE who suggested i preload the limiters (shortening them by about 1.5 turns) and that took care of it

I have the torque limiters, but i'm not sure how much they really help with missed shifts. I think most of my missed shifts are caused by improper technique. I'm trying to reprogram myself to not grip the shifter ball using my thumb, but instead push up to 3rd with my palm. Same with shifting down to 4th, no thumb. I've found my thumb is more a problem than the shifter binding. I might take the limiters off and just try the no thumb mod and see what happens. I don't power shift by the way so maybe torque limiters aren't necessary.

that's a good technique you're describing.
anyway that'll help with missing the shift gates.
torque limiters on the other hand will reduce the torque flex of the transmission which causes the shifter to be jammed out of 3rd in some stangs when shifted at high RPM.

there are many that confirmed it does help.. while others (like me and scramblr) who apparently have more underlying problems and still can't easily shift to 3rd under load

I'll let you know if my underlying problem has been fixed with the clutch and f/w swap in about 350 miles. If everything is working well, then I'll test the T/Ls again and see if they make a difference.

I'm going to try the same thing tomorrow and hope that takes my noise away.

+1!!!

Torque limiters won't help you one bit, if your technique is wrong.

Get the technique down, and then you'll see how the flex of the tranny throws off the shift.

These torque limiters really work. One of the best bang for your buck mods out there!

Just make sure you only torqe them down to the proper setting.... Right shatter!!! LOL!
