If anyone is in the Tampa area, I have 2 of the "upgrade" wheels with tires, valves, and wheel lock lugs for sale. They have 745 miles on them and are in perfect shape. Make an offer, pickup only, don't wanna ship.
I'm keeping the other 2 to eventually add slicks to.

If you're mounting the M/T ET Streets 26/11.5/17's, you'll need to go to a 17x9 rim. The stock wheel is 17x8. Go to M/T website and you'll see that for those tires, the min. wheel width is 9". I purchased 2 bullitt wheels from MMR for roughly $119/ea. Just thought I'd let you know so you don't buy wheels that the tires won't fit on.

They might fit on there, but is it right to do so. If you wear a large shirt typically, I'm sure you can squeeze into a small, but it's just not going to look right? I would tend to think that if you squeeze a tire that belongs on a 9" wheel onto a 8" wheel, you would cause the tire to round out more. It just seems that you'd be able to put more rubber on the pavement with the proper size wheel. By all means, I don't sell tires and only know that they grip the track better.
If you sell tires, why would you do something that isn't recommended by the manufacturer?

The above is part number, size, compound, weight, meas. rim, tube (N/A), sidewall width, tread width, overall diameter and circ. taken from their site.
I don't sell tires for a living, so I tend to go with specifications, especially from the manufacturer of the product I'm using. This is just my .02.

that is the measuring rim size, that is the size rim they used to get the measurements that they give for the tire

typically you can go 2 inches narrower and 1 inch wider than the measuring rim on their product, wit the exception of the lower profile tires, such as the 17 inch variation of the et street radial, which they reccoment plus or minus 1 inch of the measuring rim

ps

they are coming out with an et DRAG radial, suppose to be stickeir than the et STREET radials

I've heard about the Drag radial. I just didn't want to wait for it. No one at M/T could give me an idea as to when it would be available. Like I said though, I don't know much about tires so....I was going to get a 10" wide wheel, but no wheel's available in the Anthracite Bullitt's.
