hehe, the ignorance. There is nothing better about the SCT units... its just a perk to have online tuners that use SCT. They are just a safe online tune, nothing great.

Anyways, yeah, I still have mine and its installed in the car for everyday driving and data viewing.

some members have turned in their Diablo for SCTs for the problems they have been experiencing with Diablo. (Losing Tunes, Constant Updates, Tunes Not Loading, Not getting the right tunes from tuners/dealers, Etc.) Some have given up because of lack of customer service with Diablo and their service.

SCT is the way to go!

I switched myself. The tuner itself is fine though, actually I liked the interface better than the SCT X II. Another thing to remember is that when I first got my car, SCT didn't have the X II out yet. For awhile there really wasn't anything else that compared. I ended up switching for the support, it was going to turn out to be the cheaper option as my local Diablo tune shops are 1. expensive and 2. Not all that great.

I got Dougs Auto tunes and have been very happy with them. I've got better local support as well, when the time for emailed tunes is over.

I was also one of those that switched (back in Sept '05) from Diablo to SCT, for pretty much the same reasons as Tony. However, in a strange twist of events, I may be going back to the Diablo shortly.

Like Cleveland said, in his typical "tone of voice," (I'm just giving you a hard time man, you've got to keep that reputation somehow) one handheld is not better than the other. It is all in who creates the tune/tunes the car. I had the canned C&L tunes with my Predator and would always ping at higher RPMs so I switched to Doug and the xcal II.

Originally, I had sold my Predator, and went with the X2 from Doug/Bamachips. And I was very, very happy with it. But, once the KB supercharger went on, I needed a dyno tune. Adam at S.T. Motorsports did it with my X2 back in January. But apparently, over the past few months, Diablo has made some changes/improvements in their software. And since Adam is a longtime Diablo CMR tuner (he's been using it longer than SCT), he thinks he might be able to make a better tune for me using Diablo. Personally, I really don't care which tuner is used... all I care about is getting a good tune. I'm going to basically leave that decision up to Adam as to which way he wants to do it.

I have both, SCT2 with Brenspeed's tunes, Diablosport tuned by DTP Racing. One day I'll find time to a dyno or go to Hub City Dragway in Hattiesburg to test which is better. SOTP tells me Brenspeed's tune is better.

Talk to Adam @ S.T.Motorsports before condemning the Predator. He has some of the best supercharger tunes of any one and he prefers the predator.

Why not comment on the Predator?

I got the package deal from C&L (Racer Intake and the Diablosport tuner). It was very easy to use and the car runs just as I hoped it would. For my purposes, I'm quite happy with it.

I just bought the same, I should have it Tuesday. How much of a difference does it make? Did it cure the throttle hang?

That's what I originally had. I ultimately switched to Doug's tunes on the X2, which are much better than the canned Predator tunes.
