Question Anyone with a rod-end adjustable Panhard Rod?

Just curious, if it adds a huge amount of road noise or other noises. I just got my BMR adjustable rod-end in and will be putting it in this weekend.

The car is a daliy driver and will be used for autox and opentrack events a couple times a month. It's dropped with Eibach Pro-Kit and D-Specs, along with a nice light set of 18x10s on all four corners.

So, I ma ok with "feeling" more of the road, but don't like clunky and squeaky cars. I have heard this is not the case, but that I may get a little added harshness.

Please let me know guys!

Do you know how much from experience? Noise is one thing, I mean these cars aren't exactly Lexus quite, I just don't want clunking and creaking. I think, with rod ends there is no clunking and creaking - just noise.

Anyone with hands on experience?

On mine I get a little clunking on occasion... not all the time, but i notice the most, when i'm going slow and taking my time with the radio turned off or really low... I dont really feel it...

I'd guess that rod ends are going to clunk a little harder and/or since they are stiffer you might feel it a more.

Overall, are you happy with it or would you do different given the chance?

I must be getting old and deaf. I don't hear any rear end clunking.

I didn't p/u any additional "clunking" with mine. I was expecting too, but didn't due to being solid vs. urethane.

I didn't notice any change in NVH from the install. Almost wonder if they are still there. The strut mounts make more noise than anything.

I have the Steeda kit, BTW. TBH, I can't really say I've noticed much difference except for a slight improvement in steer in compaing one side to the next. Being able to adjust for preload would acount for this. My drivers side was actually preloading the chassis which is a given due to factory tolerances.

I'm happy with it... there's really not much noise at all or feeling anything. It might just be my imagination but i have no regrets. None actually with this car, i'm quite happy wtih the mods so far and have no regrets of any sort, panhard brace etc..

I have an adjustable one but havnt had to do anything with it yet...

my rims/tires come next week so i might have to adjust it then once i see how the rear is lined up with the 295/45's on the back.

When I ran 20's and lowered on my 06'GT there was plenty of feedback driving on cement roads.Driving on asphalt wasn't that bad except avoiding potholes.I run 18x8.5's with a stock suspension on my 07'GT and its ok but you will increase your contact surface with wider tires so more thump and bump but your compromise will some better handling.Getting d-spec dampners is one of the best suspension mods and will definately give you the flexibilty for street driving.

Angry

Ok, so I installed the panhard rod and here's the situation...

The first day I installed it I could not get a wrench into the passenger side to tighten the adjuster nut, so I tightened the driver side and checked the passenger side with my fngers and it seemed ok. I thought maybe it tightened during the process. So I drove to work the next day and I am getting tons of clunking noises. That night per Lethal Performance, I dropped down the passenger side to tighten the nut on the ground (makes sense - duh). I used powdered carbon per there advise to lube the rod ends and I used blue lock-tight to secure the nuts on both ends after tightening the hell out of them. Both rod ends were also perfectly paralel with each other. Put it back up in the car and....

I still have tons of clunking noises. I understand have more road noise transfered into the car but this just does not seem right.

Thumbs up BMR = GREAT customer service

Well, I called up BMR and talked to Lee. Great guy and very helpful. I told him in detail what I did and my problem. Without me even asking or thinking about it for that matter, he offered up to send me out another one to try out and is going to include a shipping label for the other one.

So far I am pretty happy with BMR's customer service.

What did you lube the ends with? I was told to use powdered graphite, but it just seems strange.

I had a BMR adj. Panhard w/ Rod ends and now have it for sale that is how much noise it created. I ended up buying the poly one in place and am real happy with it.

100.00 plus shipping My guess is around 15-20 for UPS Ground

The bar was on the car for 2 weeks. It has some minor chips in the powder coating.
