Mohd,
All you will gain from an aluminum flywheel is a little less rotating mass which will allow your engine to rev a little quicker. Had one on a 96 Cobra and determined the little bit of gain was not worth the money for a street driven car. You can gain the same thing for less bucks going to an aluminum driveshaft. JMHO.

If you change the flywheel to an aluminum it will allow you to run a dual friction clutch without shims and make a better setup for street/strip or a power adder down the road.

Does the new Centerforce D/F clutch kit require shims with the stock flywheel? If so does it come with all the parts needed?

I am checking into this, currently I believe if you go with an aftermarket flywheel that takes up the space of the area normally needed for shims. I could be wrong but I will check.

if you buy a specific 05-06 flywheel no need for shims, just fixed mine had to use 2 shims and it works great,i have the stock flywheel with the centerforce df clutch grabs good hope to make it to the track this weekend.

I got the Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel which is 12 LBS for $319.00 shipped
I also got the Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch DF611679 for $261.88 shipped.

I got them both from http://byunspeed.com/

Fast service and great prices. He's not a stang guy so you're better off knowing exactly what you need.
