I have the SLP LM's on my 05 Gt and I was thinking of going with the new SLP x-pipe w/high flow cats I had read somewhere that w/ a good tune one can expect 25-30 hp gain from an x-pipe. Is that true?? I recently brought the SCT X-Cal 2 from Brentspeed.. I have the JLT CAI. what do you guys think?? More then anything I want is more low end tourqe andf is this a good way to get there??? Or would a high flo H-pipe be better? Help!

Muscle Mustangs anf Fast Fords recently did a comparison test of aftermarket X and H pipes, and they all picked up hardly any horsepower and torque over stock. The only way to really gain power is to get rid of the catalytic converters, but even that won't get you huge gains. The stock exhaust is really good, and there aren't many gains to be made even with a full exhaust from headers to mufflers.

My guess is that much HP if you are stock and go to a custom tune and X pipe. Most if not all the power would come from the tune. I would not expect those numbers unless you are doing a CAI and tune.
