I'm thinking about getting a in dash dvd/nav for my 07 GT. All it has is the factory Shaker500 system. Of course, I'll need the correct wiring harnesses to make everything work, but I was worried about the factory amps and everything. Will it work with just a head unit?

I believe it will all work correctly as long as you get the proper harnesses and connectors. Check with Crutchfield, they know what they are doing and will be sure you have whatever you need to do it right if you order through them.

 

I replaced mine with a unit from Crutchfield and it came with the harnesses. You will need to get a 5V voltage regulator from Radio shack for the amps or you'll get the popping sound ...
