AFCO Aluminum Radiators

Just to let everyone know, we just did a buy in with AFCO aluminum radiators, and they have a new setup for the Manual GT's.

They're 2 core, so they have much more cooling surface than a 3 or 4 core radiator. They are a direct bolt in replacement. The tanks are around 3" thick, and the core itself is around 2.5" thick, so it shouldn't have a huge impact on clearance with aftermarket parts.

They're developing one right now for Auto GT's with transcooler lines that should be developed within the next month or two.

They're a little more than your typical PWR ebay radiator, but they make nice stuff. They own Dynatech headers, and they have been around in the racing industry with their shocks for quite some time.

If these sold for around $500-550 shipped would anyone be interested in them? We'll have them here at the shop this week for a test fit to let everyone know how installation goes, and better pictures. And a review of the quality and fitment.

Let me know!

Yes, I believe they are making them for Ford racing, among others.

You have to get pics of your car ASAP!

They've got built in mounting brackets, inlets and outlets are factory size and location, factory fan and shroud provisions, all predrilled holes, comes with drain plugs. The weight is somewhere between 8-10lbs which is extremely light compared to stock. There's no exact specs on them yet as it's a brand new product, but I'll get an exact weight when they come in. The efficiency is going to be a great deal of difference over the stock unit. They say that these radiators can sometimes drop your temperatures 20 degrees. If this was used in conjunction with the Meizere pump, I can't imagine how much of a difference that would make.

I'll get exact numbers, including capacity once we see one.

Its HUGE compared to the stock unit as far as cooling capacity, surface area and overall design. The stock one is light because it has plastic end tanks and is very thin, whereas this unit is about 3 inches thick and will easily stand up to any heavy duty task you could throw at it

Auto version within the next 2 months.

I think this is a really nice unit. I'm glad you're having luck with it Chris. I can't wait to get a few of them in!

i was considering this as my upgrade for the radiator very hard but when i found a special on the fluidyne unit a few mionths ago for 400 shipped i had to jump on it, this was gonig to be mny choice if the fluidyne didnt come along because of the performance over the stock unit as well as the price
