I've been running the Amsoil filter for almost 10K miles and no problems so far. I like it. I cleaned it a few weeks ago with some shop air. Lots of dust flew out of it, along with some bugs and several pieces of leaves...etc.

Be careful running a filter thats too small. Filters will only flow a certain amount of CFM per square inch of filter. Putting a filter thats too small on wil limit air intake as quickly as a smaller MAF will.

As to the quality of the AEM dryflows.. I used one on my colorado for 30K miles (actually the entire BruteForce intake) and had no issues with it. I cleaned it every other oil change and that truck saw considerable offroad time.
