I would have Ran More But too Much Holiday Traffic out in the Boonies! The Earlier Runs were with a Stick Air Intake with the Hydrocarbon Insert Removed! The Automatic Intake Also Has a resonator That The Stick Does Not! The Stick Intake Goes Back on Tonight!

Bryan, check tweeter. I saw one there last week when I was getting my stereo installed. They do great custom installs, Eric the installer at the Baybrook store did a fan-tastic job on my rig, I highly recommend him.

Here is a Comparison of my 02 Harley truck vs my 05 gt I looked up a road Test on the Harley Truck and they Got a 6.2 in 0 to 60 times So Further Conformation of the accuracy of The G-tec! Both vehicles Bone Stock!

OK, got mine. I only had time for ONE run.
Now, these numbers are high because I eased into the throttle until 10MPH.
---1/4 mile: 13.40 @ 102 MPH
---60 feet : 2.10
---0-60 : 4.5 seconds
I will get some better numbers as soon as I have some more play time. I have a feeling with a few tweaks to the launch, I can get the 1/4 down to 13.0 and the 60 feet to 1.8 - 2.0.
I also have a new video camera. I will try to tape it, but I need to find a way to mount it.

G-Timer, well the same counter-part the Beltronics Vector FX2. It is the same as the G-Timer - different distributor but the same unit. heck they even have the same "demo" movie on their web pages

I got the Escort GTimer cable and software, and all I can really say is that I'm underwhelmed, especially in comparison to the software provided by GTech.
If the accuracy of the units is equal, I'd suggest that people spend a few more dollars and get the GTech in part due to the software alone.
The software for the GTimer reads the GTimer and produces a single file of that collection of runs. It doesn't put it into a vast library. The software can only read one file at a time, and can only compare runs from the same file.
The graphing is limited.
The raw data file is human readable, so you could pull it into Excel and roll-your-own, but you'd have to do a little reverse engineering to match their performance numbers, as you have to interpolate the rollout data.
Question: Does anyone know if the various car magazines inclued rollout in their 0-60 numbers? In their 1/4 mile numbers? The GTimer comes with a 12in rollout for time-distance calcs (1/4mile times, etc.) and a rollout of 12in for time-speed calcs (0-60). If C&D or Motor Trend do NOT have a rollout on their 0-60 times, that would show the major reason why their numbers are slower than track times (yes, driving ability counts, but I believe that everyone is underrating the quality of the driving skills that these car mag guys possess).

I hate you. All of you. I am so gullable!!! I just bought the G-Tech RR and I can't wait to get it.
Here's the problem: It will be fun for a couple days. But, then I will want to spend MORE money to make the numbers on my G-Tech change. That is not good. I think they should classify HP as a dangerous narcotic!!!!

lol. Yes, I want 300hp rear wheel. BUT at this time, there is NO way to do it. I am a fool with the cash btu no where to spend it

hope I don't burst anyones bubbles here, but those things are only accurate w/in 5 tenths.... I know b/c I"ve actually used a buddy of mines at the track in my 92 GT.
I had used his on the street before just to see how accurate it was. My 92 runs 10.90 at 124 at the local drag strip....his gtech said that i ran 10.3 at 127 on the street....that's what made us put it to the test at the drag strip. I ran 11.0 at 124 and the gtech said that i ran 10.5 at 126....everyone i know w/ one has said the same thing...maybe yours isn't the same thing...but i guess you won't know unless you try it at the track

I think if you use one measuring method solely to determine your gains with mods, it would be ok. Now I don't know, because I haven't tried, but I would like to see what one dyno jet says compared to a handful of others with the exact same vehicle. Would they ALL say the IDENTICALLY same thing?

Your friend didn't read the manuals. There are settings for rollout, a distinct rollout setting for time/speed calcs (0-60, 0-100 for example), and a distinct rollout setting for time/distance calcs (60ft, 1/8th mile, 1/4 mile).
By default, the GTimer is set for a 12" rollout on each. That's an approximate number. Depending on how you stage at the track, your numbers are going to differ.
The GTimer and GTech are dead on accurate, meaning that they produce real numbers that are accurate. They are NOT calibrated to match every driver at a real tree and race track. The difference is rollout.
If you look at the raw numbers from a GTimer, they are different than shown on the screen. They are raw numbers before adding back rollout.
The GTech site describes this in detail. But you have to have the patience to read about it.

well after reading all of that, still seems easier and cheaper to go to the dragstrip and find out for certain what the car runs....sounds much to complicated to make the g-tech read what the track sensors are reading???
