93 Octane Tune: Bamachips vs C&L Canned Tune

Hello everyone. I currently have the 93-octane tune that came with my C&L Racer Intake installed but I'm considering switching to a tune by Doug at BamaChips after reading all of the favorable reviews here. My question to you out there is this, how different are the two tunes? Doug's is obviously more popular, but how? What does he do to that makes it so much more fun to have his installed?

Regards,
Jon

I am one of Doug's fan club members big time. You should have contacted him in the first place before you purchased. I do not believe the can tune from him would make a significant difference in the performance in your car to justify the cost.

When Doug was out here in So Cal for the V6 Magnacharger installs he showed TacoBill, Leo_06GT and me the difference between canned tunes and his tunes. He was able to run something that showed what changes where made to what parameter. From what I saw just about everything was different. I can't remember specifics, he went over them pretty fast and alot of it was over my head, I'm pretty new to the tuning side of hot rodding. Well, it was impressive to me the amount of work that he did to the stock tunes enough so that I didn't hesitate to purchase his tunes. Frankly I couldn't be happier. If it wasn't six months ago I'd probably be a bit more help.

Doug really knows his stuff. I am sure his tune will work better than any canned tunes.
