What do YOU want?

A sport car, that rumbles, to drive like Mc Queen in Bullit = stick

A car for every day, to be confortable at rush hours = auto

It's YOUR choice !!!!

Both choices are good...

If I had had your 11sec. beast, I wouldn't care what sat under the hump!!

I was really just speaking more toward the "daily driver" guys.....stockers.
I think just from the fun perspective, normally aspirated, the car gives some more thrills via the stick.
Actually, I do remember.

And I also remember working with Doug in 2005 as he was refining his N/A tune for the auto trans (before he had his own car). At the time, all I had was a CAI and gears. He'd e-mail me a tune and I'd go test it, and provide him feedback. Then we'd do it again. Like I said, a simple tune makes a world of difference. It wasn't uncommom to bark 3rd gear back then, and on occasion, get a chirp out of 4th, too.

And I know of a couple N/A guys right now who have run low 12s with an auto trans.

I live in Washington DC, some of the worst traffic in the US. I had a Manual car before in this traffic and my leg hurt after 20 min (36 mile commute one way took 1.5 hours Bumper to Bumper) Besides my Bad Left Knee from a Motorcycle Accident causes me excruciating pain when I use it like that alot.

Anyway, I have raced several manual 05GT's with the Exact same mods as mine and I always come out ahead by 1-2 tenths and they were very good manual drivers, they can't shift as fast as the Auto plus I always have better 60" times. My best was 1.88 on stock rims and tires at Mason Dixon Raceway.

Here is the best way to figure out what tranny to get, what do you drive the most.....
Automatics for City / Drag Racing.
Manuals for Country / Twisties Driving.
Simple

If I lived in the country I would still drive a manual, but not in traffic, it takes all the fun out of the car.
