i have driven sticks all my life ....
cant dump the clutch and burn out in an auto like you can with a stick.
the autos are nice but in my opinion thats all they will ever be, nice.
if you want to really have fun and see what you can do with the car, but still be able to drive it daily (i do) then get the stick. trust me, its easy and you will love it.

I have to admit... some of the incredibly dopey and misguided things posted in this thread has been some pretty good entertainment. Keep it coming guys... I need some more laughs.

What is going on here kiddo? Give me Don W.'s Kenne Bell or a Whipple and I will turn you inside out. Let's keep it to blown against blown and N/A againt N/A. Would you like to go up against Don W. for 50 bucks? Let the blow harding begin. I really like you Tom but when it comes to my $.... my $50 is on Don W. P.S. Don and I are in the same generation. Experience rules!

Hey mind your own business.....uh um, I mean..... I wasn't talking to you.
But also guys, let's be fair here to..... I know my car isn't that fast and obviously by my signature I'm the first to admit it LOL. But, if any of us had half the money invested in our cars that Don has, then yes I would bet a stick against an auto at the track. It likely wouldn't be as consistent, but none the less it's hard to compare Don's car against any of ours here.

Well, a bit back on topic...
I'm going to have to disagree with this statement. Maybe yours has a different transmission than mine, but just in my driveway alone I've got two other sticks that are much easier to drive.
If I had to teach someone to drive a stick, it sure wouldn't be on my stang.
