Gears.....definitely!! Put them in yesterday. It feels like Ford should have put them in at the factory. I got the FRPP 4.10's from. There's instant power at any speed. The only whine I heard was from my wife complaining about my driving!

Newb question on the 4.10 gears. I'ver never modded any transmission before - so I was wanting some info on this. Does it simply change the gearing / shift points?

Maybe a link to a site where I could read about and order?

Instead of the UDPs think about the Meziere water pump. No charging issues and the W/P is the main power robbing accessory unless you have the A/C going full blast.

The reference to 4.10s in the rear end gear ratio, not transmission gearing.

And this link is the first you should go to if you want info on just about any topic here: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?act=Search&f=43

Thanks for being a JA. This site doesn't really have that much information on it. I'm finding a lot more on 'All Ford Mustang Forum' but I'm sure you knew that. Thanks again JA.

silly question- what kinda highway mpg you guys getting with 4.10's? I'd like more torque for just around town, but wondered just exactly how bad it might suck gas on a long trip...wonder if a gearvendors secondary overdrive could bring that back too...hmm...

How to make friends and influence people...sheesh!

If you did take the time to look around here, you would find there is a wealth of knowledgeable people and they are very willing to give lots of information. But someone with only 4 posts here should perhaps just stay over at the other forum instead of making posts like this here.

Wasn't trying to be a JA... just trying to help you find what you need. But... then again, it wasn't me who thought 4.10s went in the transmission now, was it.

Domestic guys are never as friendly - I see what draws me to imports now!
My comment about the transmission was taken out of context. I was asking about the shiftpoints (ie the transmission) that were affected by the 4.10's. I still can't seem to find a comparison of shift speeds - something that is hard to search for.
I'll keep looking, don't worry.

It's not like I started another thread, I piggy-backed off another.

Taken out of context??? Whatever...

Hey import lover... all it takes is a simple spreadsheet to figure out shiftpoints. Some of us did that for ourselves without having to "search" for it. Don't say I never gave you anything. Have a nice life...
