Folks,

I saw in one of the recent Mustang mags a manufacture is claiming some pretty serious HP and torque increases with a 3" exhuast system from front to back. The price wasn't too bad either.

Of course, I don't remember exactly what company it was, but I bet someone out here knows.

Anyone have any idea how the mod motor respondes to larger exhaust systems? I would THINK that a dual 2 1/2 inch system should be plenty to flow the exhaust without causing restrictions, but...

On a related note: I noticed there are a several companies making headers for the 05/06 with 1 3/4" primaries. That just seems big for a streat car. Anyone have any experence with large diameter headers on these cars? How do they respond up top and off the line?

I have Stainless Works 1 3/4" longtubes, full 3" out the back! No cats, X pipe. I gained 22rwhp/22rwtq with the setup. Sounds awesome too. There is an exhaust thread around here that has soundclips of all different types of exhaust and some additional data.

Yea this Granatelli Motorsports claims all these parts for performance, including THROTTLE BODIES, something doesn't seem right about this co. with their HP numbers and with the products!

52MM throttle bodies???? Thats stock! 48MM, what TB are they looking at? Fuego Flash Tuner, never heard of them. A Cold Air Kit that deliver 25 RWHP??? No mention of a tuner! 3 Inch Cat Back Kit delivering big numbers?? I dunno, sounds like B.S. tome

you will not gain that kind of power from a cat back alone on the stang. We test exhaust systems day in and day out and a 3' cat back is overkill on the 05 in stock form
