3.73 gears with auto?

I'd like to know how you like you're 3.73 gears with an auto Trans. I had 4.10's in my last stang (08) w/auto and it was great. But, I was drag racing and auto-crossing. I don't plan on doing that with this car. I was thinking the 3.73's would be nice since I don't need the high torc.
Wanting to know if people that have this set-up like it? Got to be better than the 3.31 in there now

I ran tunes/CAI on my 06 and it was fun. Then in my 08 i ran 4.10's, tune/CAI and it was way funner, then I supercharged the 08 and it was a total gas, fun as can be.
Now with my 07 I'm not going to supercharge, but I have tunes/CAI. This car is a vert and has the stock 3.31 gears. The tune is great but something is missing. I never ran 3.73's so I'm thinking it would best for daily driver???
The 4.10's have their purpose, I just don't plan on doing the things I did before with this car. With that said, it does call for gears.

I had the 3.73's installed in my Auto '06 GT Vert and loved them! Really woke up the car, IMO. I had a CAI and tune as well, and yeah, around town driving was fine and it was much more responsive when I decided to get on it. It was one of those mods that I wish I had done earlier! LOL! I am not sure how they compare to the 4.10's, but I was quite happy with the 3.73 setup...

Thanks Jay. This is the kind of feedback I'm looking for. My 4.10's were awesome but my driving is 90% around town and wife didn't appreciate the neck excersizing you get with 4.10's

LOL! I bet! Those 3.31's are great for gas mileage, but the 3.73's make it feel more like it *should* feel. It was much more fun to drive after I got those! Plus, I didn't really lose much MPG's really, unless I really got on it a lot...

I ran 3.73's for years and I think it's the perfect gear for an automatic N/A or blower car, that is not just a track animal. I went to 3.27 gears, for better loading on my turbos but I miss the low end street manners from the 3.73's.

no issues with the 3.73 setup here. Dont regret the decision at all.

Thanks all for the input guys. I had 4.10's in my roushcharged DD and enjoyed them. They are both showing up tomorrow, I'll have to decide soon. I'm leaning to trying the 3.73's.

The reason why I went with 4.1s was because to many people who installed 3.73 and said that they wished they had rather tried 4.1,but its your choice on what you rather want, lower rpm cruising or aceleration, but again if you want to use it to travel and stuff install 3.28 and if you like it to have fun with 4.1s

What TC do you have. I was just told I would have to mod my cams if I added a higher stall TC (3000).

By the way, I have an 2008 auto with 3:73 gears (CAI /91 tune). It's ok, but I want more at launch. I just want to spin the tires a little on demand. Not sure I would go to the 4:10's as I like to drive mine on long trips.

I have the Roush M90, pulley and TB upgrade, tune, CAI and 3.55's. Drive the hell out of it on the highway and ave. 18mpg. Stop light to stop light snaps your neck til it hurts... no complaints here...
