2007 GT with brembo spring and shock takeoffs

Hello all. I have a 2012 gt with the brembo package. I'm getting a new suspension set up in February. My godmother has a 2007 gt convertible. She's called dibs on my take off suspension. I'm concerned it may be too stiff for her chassis. Has anyone with a convertible tried this set up? I'd feel horrible if she paid to install it and it ruined her car.

I think the shocks n struts n springs are just like any other normal Stang ... I don't think it will do much of anything for her car..

The brembo springs and shocks are actually stiffer than the stock gt springs. I've read that the springs from even a regular post 2010 gt are stiffer. I'm not sure if this will have a negative effect on her car or a positive effect. I've read posts both ways by very knowledgable sounding people. I started this thread hoping to hear from folks that have actually used this set up or know someone that has.

The newer cars are heavier then 05-09 the car will sit higher w your stuff on her car... I'm telling you it will ride horrible, and sit like a 4x4

Not to mention the convertibles came from the factory with a softer spring and unique shock tune anyway....but then again most aftermarket parts don't distinguish between coupe or convertible. My H&R springs are not specific for a convertible but I have them regardless...As far as weight... I don't think you'd have to worry cause the 2007 convertible is about 150lbs heavier than the 2012 GT. What is more important is the unsprung weight of her 2007, is she running aftermarket wheels/tires.
