Looking to build a good, strong shortblock for my car in preparation for a turbo later in the summer and wanted to know if there is any difference in the 4.6 aluminum blocks used in the '05's and any previous aluminum 4.6 block.

I have heard there are a few casting changes, but need to verify if this is true. If so, I will need to pick up an '05 specific unit versus just any old aluminum block out of a Cobra or Mach 1.

I have read in this forum that the 05 block is the same as the mach 1 and the navigator block, cobra blocks are different. I hope this helps
