I spent 20 minutes tonight talking with a kid in a Chevy pickup. I just stopped for gas but he was full of questions about the cams. I can't wait to get my BMR lca brackets on and back to the strip.

My mechanic's busy so I have to wait another week to get them installed... at least that will give me time to fix my rattling exhaust, with cams the problem would probably be much more pronounced

Comp cams do make the better power of the two but require limiting or as I used to Locking out the cams. This may impact economy but truly both of them at idle are going to be a little agressive on mpg.
Still, I've tuned and installed FRPP cams, even in a 11:1 engine with Stage 3 heads, and they work well and with the stock limiters. This in turn makes for a easy install without removing the timing cover, if you goto a mechanic that knows how to work on a 3-valve.
Either require tuning, and the cams accent additional mods like LT headers, CMVC deletes and/or intake manifold. You wont go wrong with either.
Thanks, Doug

Got my FRPP hotrods in and they are awesome. Shakin' around something fierce with the poly motor mounts. Low end torque loss seems really minor. Only noticed it when I put it in reverse and it required a higher RPM to keep from dying
