I am very disappointed with the remarks from some of my fellow Mustang owners with their response to the posting
I certainly hope that wasn't directed at me in any form. I felt it would have been unnecessary to reiterate what had been said several times so I simply added to the discussion. It's ultimately their choice what to do with them.

Let them know that you have it. If they want it back, they'll send someone to pick it up.

If it is something small I can understand, but this is an expensive exhaust system.

Plus, if they find out that they are missing it and come calling, and you've sold it, you're going to be worse off.

I figure Borla is a great company that designed a good product for your car...... the least you can do it help support them by being a good, honest customer.

I'd choose (A) obviously.
I don't see how he's going to be worse off...maybe morally...but definitely not legally.

If you made a mistake and paid for something twice would it be OK for them to keep your money?
If that was legal...yeah.

Sorry, but this is substituting a person's responsibility for morals.

It's up to the poster...for my religion...if they called me up and asked for them, i'd send them back. But if they don't notice, i'm keeping them. It isn't stealing.

Well, if he isn't saved, he is going to heck anyway.

But if he is a christian...then this discussion is going to get more interesting.

Your either an honest person or your not. Your legal responsibility has nothing to do with the right thing to do.

I didn't think this was going to turn into a "Am I going to burn in heck or not" issue. And I probably will because I have a list of things that will probably put me there (nothing serious though).

This is the first time I have dealt with this company and may be the last I'm not sure.

I think I'm going to notify them by e-mail once, because at least with e-mail I will have written documentation that I did let them know of the error.

They will need to cntact me within 30 days with a return auth and a postage paid sticker to put on the box for them to pay shipping or something.

If I don't hear anything after 30 days then I'll sell them.

Will this keep me from adding to my go to heck list? And Is this fair treatment of the online company?

^ That sounds like a good plan.

And don't worry, there is no heck, that was just a scare tactic to keep early Christians on the right path in the face of fierce Roman persecution.
<puts on flame suit before this turns religous>

That's a fair way to end it for everyone involved.

I just e-mailed them and informed them of their mistake of sending me two exhausts. I told them to e-mail me or call I gave them my daytime number and the times to call. Lets see what happens. If I don't hear anything I'll sell them in a month or two.

I ordered and got a set of Borla "S" type cat backs from an online company last Friday. These are not the Steeda restamps. Put them on had a few probs posted in another thread but everything appears good now.

Came home yesterday and there was another set of identical catbacks sitting on my porch. I was like I called the credit card company and I have only been charged for one set.

Then I got an I can

A. Call them up and inform them of their mistake and have them pay to send them back.

B. Call them up and tell them I changed my mind and send them back to get my money back. (In other words the ones I have on the car would only cost me the shiiping for the return and the 20% restocking fee)

C. Sell them privately to someone at a very nice discount here at TMS or at one of the car shows I would be going to in the future. (I would have to deny if they ever tracked down they sent me two so I don't get charged for the second set.)

D. Don't do anything and wait awhile to see if they realize their mistake before I make my choice of the above.

Any Suggestions?
There is only one option. That being to call them up inform them of their mistake and have them issue a call tag to send them back. I can't believe you would even have the nerve to ask. How old are you? People like you make me sick. We wonder why this world is so screwed up.

Uptight? I am anything but uptight. This is simple Golden Rule kind of stuff here. What relationship does uptight have with such a simple question of right and wrong. It's not like this situation poses a complex moral dilemma. This is simple and if more people were candid and clear with this individual and others when confronted with questions like this perhaps the world would be a better place.

People like you make me sick.
I kinda think you were already sick before you read my post like hoof and mouth disease maybe?

Because it seems you already had a tendency of putting your foot in your mouth before you read the post.

Oh and if you would like to know I'm 45, upper management in a very large medical corporation and the loss of money it's worth is certainly not hurting me.

Take a little advice. Stop prejudging people before you know them and maybe people will get along with you better.

I never had to use the "ignore" button before. I just now turned it on. It works pretty darn good.
