1st time using drag radials...New PB

Today did my 1st runs on runs on drag radials at the 1/8 mile track. Car hooked fine, but the 275/50/17 might be too tall. Oh! well beats street tires.
1st run I launched at 3500 RPMs
60' 1.913
1/8 8.841 at 79.4
DA was about 2500' so corrected time is 8.54 at 82.xxx

Fastest run was
Launch at 4500 RPMs
60' 1.819
1/8 8.69 at 79.397
DA was about 2650 corrected time 8.412 at 82.XXX

Congrats on your new PB.

How do you calculate the DA difference? Is there a table or something?

I just got a new PB myself last week with my first time out with drag radials, I run on a 1/4 mile track though.

There are a few different sites. Here is one:http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php

I'm running 255/45 front and 285/40 rear like the GT500 as well, rear tires are Nitto 555R drag radials, they stick pretty darn good, pretty much learning how to launch the car all over again. I have already seen a best ET that was about three tenths lower than before, and I still think I have some improving to do.
