12's! About time.

Hey guys, finally nailed 12's tonight. Seems my car wanted to skip 12.9's and go right to 12.8's. I was stuck @ 13.00X's for about 2 weeks due to weather.

This took place tonight during the Mustang Challenge. I ended up winning my firist trophy for Best R/T with a .000

(Keep in mind, the 60' timer on the left lane was out so use your imagination.)

1st Round run, I decided to focus on the tree with the intent on advancing.

R/T: .000
60':
330: 5.294
1/8: 8.329
MPH:
1000: 10.741
1/4: 12.876
MPH: 106.04

Test & Tune run, last of the night. I wasn't aware I'd be single running. A Magnum decided he didn't feel like getting his *** kicked by a slow Mustang so he never pulled up to the line

R/T: 1.120
60':
330: 5.303
1/8: 8.235
MPH: 84.41
1000: 10.765
1/4: 12.902
MPH: 106.04

This was the 3rd Round run. Awesome run. Was a blast My opponent ended up getting the win light and advancing.

R/T: .220
60':
330: 5.330
1/8: 8.270
MPH: 84.26
1000: 10.805
1/4: 12.941
MPH: 106.04

Nice driving! My best reaction time ever is .008, how the heck I did that, I don't know. Getting that perfect reaction takes some skill!

Yeah, I was shocked. I normally focus on my Tach for the launch but I just pulled a Luke Skywalker and let it all go and focused on the tree. LOL

No, but run 275/40/17 drag radials that kinda make up for it.

Congrats! 000 reaction times are few and far between. Were you running a sportsman tree or full pro tree?

Congrats. Like you I was stuck at 13.05 and the hot weather wasn't helping. Finally got my 12.9. Just stuck on the BMR rear drag suspension and underdrive pullies, and have to see if I can get my 60ft down and gain a few more tenths.

Feels good, doesn't it?

John

It was the normal tree, no Pro Tree. I've never had the chance to try Pro Tree but I'd love to.

The pro tree is a bit harder IMO but fun to try from time to time. Sometimes the track officials will change it to a pro tree if you ask them to.
