Getting my SCT Tune today. I was told it was the same tune from JDM Engineering. Not doing CAI but I will be doing a KN filter and getting rid of the HC trap. The rest of the car is stock. I will let you all know how it works. The tuners will be doing a Dyno before and after so I will have them to compare.

I thought this car had the "charge motion plates"??? I haven't read the full article in MM&FF, but I didn't notice its mention...

What is interesting is that the JDM car didn't have an intake (good for ~10-15rwhp) or charge motion plates (good for another ~5-10rwhp) and it still had a very similar time. Could be driver differences, weather differences, or track differences?
My guess is that since JDM used one of the top guys from SCT to tune it, they got an absolute killer tune on their car, whereas the JMS-chip car was using their off-the-shelf tune that they are selling to customers. That alone could make up the ~15-25 theoretical difference due to the parts.
