Hey guys my car has about 9,500 miles on it and i am about to change synthetic motor oil at the 10K mark. I was just wondering if changing the gear will also help any? What are the benefits of using synthetic gear oil if any? And how difficult is it to do it yourself? Thanks in advance for all your help.

 

I could be wrong here, but isn't the factory fill oil already synthetic in the manual tranny's??

 

yes it is already synthetic 75w-140 oil. changing it wont help any. jsut wait until the scheduled maitenee says to change it. if your gona do it anyway, you might as well upgrade your rear gears and add a girdle.
