I am sure this topic has been covered by now, but I did a search and could not find it. If you are a reasonably experienced manual trans driver, what is the best method to the lowest 0-60 or 1/4 mile ET on the stock 05 GT? Should the traction control be on or off and what is the best technique? Any comments are welcome.

I would guess that the TC should be off as it reduces power to the wheels if it detects slipping. I have a friend with a 350z who didn't know about his traction control and had driven with it on for a few months and when he turned it off he did notice a lot more power.

With T/C on, the reason the tires have better traction is b/c the computer limits the power to the wheels. For full power to the wheels, T/C must be off.

best launch and quickest times turn it off for sure, I think the only real good it would ever do is in turns or in the rain, but straight line its not like you are going to go spinning out of control just launching off the line, well unless your a real goober
