Yugo or 5.0

Guys having a tough time deciding on a used turbo charged Yugo or the new 5.0. I can get the Yugo real cheap around $500. The turbo puts the Yugo in the 28sec bracket. Can you guys help me decide. Thanks.

Both pushed from a cliff, the Yugo accelerates at roughly the same speed as the Mustang. Therefore, from a performance standpoint, I think it's a tossup. You may want to go with the advanced European styling of the Yugo over the plain-jane looks of the 5.0.

Most important: If you get the Yugo, make sure you get the uber loud BOV.

You'd have to go all the way back to the 1986 SVO to get the same offset hood Scoop that the Yugo offers.

The Yugo is much lighter and therefore, faster. Go with the Yugo.

Turbo is nice but watch all the ladies stare when you "drop the top"

Yep, that’s right a Yugo with a wide body kit, big tires and a turbo Chrysler 4 cylinder driving the front wheels and a big Cadillac V-8 mounted in the rear seat area driving the rear wheels!

Basic physics ftw. Although unless they are both in a vacuum I still think the Mustang will hurl towards the earth at a greater pace (better aerodynamics). So go with the Yugo if you want 2 extra seconds of life.

I bet if they took a 5.0 to the strip inside a vacuum it could get well under 11sec, provided the driver could hold his breath long enough.

Sounds good, now to just get past the whole engine not being able to work in a vacuum thing
