I've had a lot of folks say that Redline MTL trans fluid is the best.

Why?

What makes it better than the equivalent Amsoil or Royal Purple products? Amsoil and RP are easier for me to get locally, so if there is some outstanding reason why one should go with Redline MTL, I'm all....uh....eyes.

I jumped on the MTL bandwagon in the summer. It works well, however in this colder Chicago weather the cold start shifting is worse. Once warmed up it's fine. Now that we have more choices, the Amsoil looks good. I don't autocross, but I have taken it to the strip once. Shifting was like butter. Sorry I don't have a good testimonial on MTL. Come spring time I'll probably get a new shifter and try Amsoil.

Same fluid that came from the factory is still in my 11. Hardly ever gets cold down here in south FL to really make a switch.

Well, I tried the RP and I'm not happy with it at all. Cold weather performance is worse than the factory stuff. Ordered Amsoil and report back when I have it in the car.

Keep us posted on the Amsoil. I was looking at it online yesterday and that'll be what I use next.

Dual clutch fluid good in cold weather
