I am at a stop light and a guy on his 60s starts revving the engine of his new camaro ss. I give him a weird look and do nothing. At the next light he does it again. At the third light he gives me the lower your window gesture.

He says he isn't trying to race me. He just wants me to rev my engine so he can hear it. I oblige him. Then he says," yup, that sounds better than mine." I start laughing and he peels out and lays down some rubber. I'm so busy laughing that the car behind me has to honk to get me to move.

I'll admit, I've never really been looked down on by a Camaro driver, except when I had a Cobalt SS/SC.... but then again, this was the kind of guy who's SS, had blacked out lights, Red Halos, Full body kit, automatic, new sub-"system", 22ish wheels, limo tinted... so to me... not a real Performance enthusiast.

I have only respect for people who buy a Camaro, Mustang, Challenger and treat it as a fun American Muscle Car to play with... not a "Mines better than yous!" car. Cars are for fun, not financial and social status.

 

Lol I worked as a sales man for a Chevey dealer and even though they gave me a hard tine for driving a Mustang ( a V6 Mustang) they all said that from the V6 up Mustangs sound better.
