My Specs: vs. His Specs:
STOCK 2005 Mustang V6 Auto STOCK 89 CAMERO V8 5-Speed

We'll it's normal thrusday night at work.. Everything is going wrong.. So after work i pull over to wal-mart to see who all i know. We'll no one was there that i seen so i started to leave and a couple buddies of mine was like this guy wants to race you.. I said what is he driving.. 89 Camero... I said he'll probably smoke me but ok, it's somthing to do and ya never know.. We Dragg a 1/8 Mile And they say go to the end of the bridge and we'll flag you both from down here.. We'll BEST of 3.. we'll I Brake torque to warm my tires up and we'll the , so i let off the break and i literally sit there roasting my tires... I left about 50-100ft of Rubber lying on the bridge.. And we pull into the curve at the end of the 1/8 and i'm barely behind him.. I keep telling my self only if i hadn't brake torqued it!! :bang: :bang: :bang: ...
We'll We pull back up to the bridge and they tell me dont' brake torque it.. and I Have it in Drive O/D off and and i floor it.. He pulls for about 10ft and then we ride neck and neck for a few and when we get to the end of the bridge i floor it and pull ahead (Ahead for about 1/2 of the 1/8).. And I'm about 1 Car Length in front of him.. So 1/1.. :drive: and we pull back down to the bridge and they was like.. ARe you SHIFTING?? OR In DRIVE and i said in DRive and they told me to try shifting..
I never did like using that auto maunal shifting.. So I said alright.. So We pull back to the bridge an i Moved it into first and held the brake.. (I don't like Netural Drop) and .. NECK AND NECK we both rode the bridge.. at the end of the bridge i pull ahead.. (I GOT HIM EARLIER ) ..
I pull back down to the bridge and they tell me the stats.. I had 2 WINS and He had 1 WIN. HERE IS WHAT V6 OWNERS HAVE THAT GT OWNERS DONT"!!!!!
Every Man standing around was like and thats a v6.. Runs better than i thought it would... :worship: I Love my v6.. You have so much more pride when you pull up against a AMERICAN MUSCLE v8 and BEAT HIM!!
But thats my borign story..

Yeah, I guess being the V6 underdog and coming out on top is cool, but I'de rather have the ability to do the same to a car that ISN'T sixteen years old.

Advantage over GTs or Camaro? I read thinking you were talking about you beating a mustang with ur V6. Might wanna be clear on that. GT != All V8 engines.

There's a Camaro GT? Or a Camaro V8?

Not all that Surprising. He more then likely only had ~190Hp.

You can't discount that 150 miles, can you. That engines was probably so loose, it was about to fall out. :P

I think he was saying the "satisfaction" advantage of beating "V8 muscle" in an underdog V6. A satisfaction which he is arguing the GT owners would be deprived of. Not that his V6 would have any performance advantage over a mustang GT. Or at least I hope hes not that delusional..

Hence, my comment:

Everyone perfers something.. Note i'm 17 and i'll admit that i'm not able to handle the Power of the v8 Mustang. Before i breach into an area with more Power and More Muslce i would like to have a few years under my belt. And i believe thats a good cause for the v6. IT will not prepare you for all that power but you'll have a better reaction to handling it and learn throughout many situations. The Underdog is a great feeling... And yes it may be 16 years old but it's still a v8. I have beaten new models.. but it was nothing like this experience. But "AnotherMustangFan" is correct.. the Satisfaction is what i'm enjoying... Me beating a Mustang GT is possible on a few older models.. but i would not attempt the 05'+ Stangs..

It's a low 15 sec stock and mid/high 14 with intake&tune.
Fazm has accomplished this, I myself have yet to go to a track. :bang:

I agree it isn't fast by any means, but probably isn't "slow" either

Yeah, that's good for them, and that is quick.
But IMO there isn't a fine line on whats fast and whats slow. To me the current V6 is in that gray area where it isn't necessarily a slow or fast car.

i'd have to agree with manny there. last generations stock GTs ran 14s, and with very little work you can get a new V6 to that same level, so i'd say its a moderately quick car.

just outta curiosity wat does that GP run
and do you have the supercharged version?
