too bad something was wrong with the livernois mustang and the results were not great for an 800hp+ modd'd stang

 

when you are up against the wrongness of 1000+ hp cars, that are lighter than you i would say the result is never going to be in your favor.....

the stang was the cheapest of the bunch, and to be compared to the other cars it was compared to i think it speaks volumes for the stangs coolness factor.

 

Nice test but 225K for an LPE C6? No thanks I'll build the same thing for less than 100K. Though it would be fun spinning the tires at 125 MPH. That stang was putting out some serious torque BTW. 900+ lb from a 4.6? I'm quite sure that would be fun on the street.

 

The mustang was the cheapest car with the smallest engine....what did you expect?...the fact that they even put it into that contest I think its a testament to the Mustang's "street cred."

 

you guys should read the article..
has nothing to do with the cost etc etc of mustang.

livernois had 2 weeks to prepare the car and when they got there they have problems..cam problems..oil leaking..etc.

they knew they had problems but they pushed forward on with the test. they didnt want to give up.

12.9 sec 1/4 mile....a shame...
