Only challenges so far have been by three very late model Vettes (one an '05) Went completely out of there way to catch me at a red. Been followed by a zillion Camaros and Mustangs (and one rice rocket), but so far none have bothered to challenge.

I don't see what the bragging rights would be? The Vette is lighter, 100 more ponies, 80 or so more torque, six speed and about $20,000 more to purchase.

Would of thought the Camaros might be gunnin for the '05 but not the Vettes?

I'm getting challenged by other mustangs because they want to know what it can do. But these challenges are all friendly. :worship: Most vett owners do not even look at me. After all they are driving a VETT.

Don't worry. When the new 500+hp 07 Cobra comes out (I hope!) we will all have the last laugh!

THOSE OF US THAT HAVE HAD THEIR MUSTANGS FOR A WHILE (1990) AND MADE A FEW CHANGES TO THE MOTOR (11:20 @ 119MPH) HAVE HANDED THE VETS MORE THAN THEIR SHARE OF PAINFUL SPANKINGS, SO THEY KNOW NOT TO MESS WITH US SO THEY PICK ON THE FRESH (UNMODIFIED) NEW CARS TO GET THEIR WINS IN WHILE THEY STILL CAN

I had a bright yellow vett on the interstate wanting to play, I was keeping a steady 55mph pace, which I think upset him...So he gunned it, barking his tires, as he took off leaving me in a cloud of dust. Too bad, he didn't see the VA state trooper several cars ahead, which is the only reason I wouldn't play! LOL, he got pulled almost immediately. I am sure he got a reckless and aggressive driving citation.

WHY ARE YOU TYPING IN CAPS? IT LOOKS KINDA FUNNY WHEN PEOPLE TYPE IN ALL CAPS. EVERYTHING LOOKS A BIT BLURRY FROM A QUICK GLANCE AND ALL THE WORDS ARE SMOOSHED IN TOGETHER! MAYBE YOU DIDN'T REALIZE THAT YOUR CAPS LOCK WAS ON.

Welcome to the boards!

There really isn't any competition between this car now in the Vettes. I was driving an 04 vette while I waited for my Stang, and it had much more kick. It wasn't the best idea because the 300hp aren't as impressive as they would of been. I should of been driving one of our Honda's a couple of weeks before they came in, but I just couldn't give up that Vette.

I had a Viper challenge me. I didn't even bother, 1. What's the point, a bit more ponies under his hood 2. The area is 35mph with cops always around the corner 3. I didn't want to give him any satisfaction 4. He was in his late 40's and if for some ridiculous reason he can't drive, I didn't want to be responsible for a heart attack!
One ricer challenged me, I smoked him
One MRT spider with NOS tried me, I smoked him to the point of him wanting me to pull over so he could ask me all about the car.

Just goes to prove that most of the guys buying the vettes are so old and stoked by the Viagra, they can't see a trooper 5" in front of their faces!
