A kill is not a kill unless you take it the whole 1/4. Taking it up to 85 with a car that hooks well might beat a lot of cars......... to 85.......but at the end of 1/4 you will still lose. This is not a rip, please dont take it as one.
I don't doubt it, but on the street hauling hiney well over 100 isn't my idea of fun.

Does the competition stink that bad that Mustang owners have to beat up on Mustang owners ....

I'm glad you didn't race my Cobra

1/8 mile tracks stink to me. You can setup a car to win at an 1/8 mile track that would not have a chance in the 1/4.

a kill is a kill.I must say, when posting anything '05 related I get a lot of abuse from the mach 1 guys at the registry. They"re WAY worse than the LS1 people.I believe they just cant handle the fact that the '05 has 300hp and is so close to their machs.I had a '03 mach and it was a very fast car, quality was crap, but im sure a bit faster car in the long run.I will say that my '05 is much easier to launch and for me ,stoplight to stoplight is my thing.

Some people (me included) just want something a little different. I might trade when the next 'different' model comes along, whenever that may be.

No, But I raced 05 GT at 1/8 track with my 03 mach1 and beat him with my stock Mach1 auto.

All I was saying is that a lot of jump all over the mach owners... If thats such a big problem and your so much better drop it and it won't be a problem... Let your mods handle trolls, thats what they are there for.... It really causes a problem for people like me who are trying to enjoy this board.... btw trap speed is an indicator of hp and as stated above if a mach can get it to the ground (stock vs stock) with drag radials or other means I don't think you have much of a race... At least everything I have seen locally indicates that.... And correct me if I am wrong but I still haven't seen anyone post a vid with a low (13.1, 13.2) pass. My argument was not with the race or abilities of the cars.... mine was with the attitudes expressed that seem to become prevelant... I am a moderator on the registry and we don't see near the flat out hostility SOME of you seem to express.

That is sad, but true. Why the insecurity? I cannot find any other explanation for becoming hostile.

I wonder if it wasn't a GT with that CDC shaker kit?
Anyway, I have taken two 05 GTs, one sick and one auto, beat both convincingly. The auto did better than the stick, but I still had 2 cars on him at 80 when he decided he had enough and shut down. I like the 05, was thinking of buying one because of the better build quality and room compared to my Mach, but in the end decided to go for a CTS-V because it has the room I need with the comfort I want. I even looked at and drove a GTO and decided my mach was faster, I would pick the 05 stang over the GTO though. Just adding my thoughts as I have driven both, please don't mistake my comments as "tude". B)

My automatic Mach1 ran 13.40 at 106 this Sunday...A 05 Red GT ran 13.72....I'm not ******* the GT, but if the Mach1 was manual, the guy can't drive and probably set there and spun the tires

Highly doubt it was just a shaker on a GT. I beat the guy, but I didn't beat him that badly. At the most I had 2, perhaps 3 car lengths. The Stang also had the Mach 1 badging. If he took a GT, and converted it, he did a rather thorough job.

I didn't post this just to get a whopping 05 vs Mach 1 battle going. I could realy care less if my Stang XXX is faster than Other Stang XXX. The guy wasn't hooking the car up that well, maybe he just stinks at racing? Who knows cause he wasn't sticking around to talk cars, he just ran it hard. I wasn't about to try and chase him down going THAT fast on city streets. I stopped pulling between 80-90, and I am done.

Call it a kill, call it BS, I could really care. I was there.
