Ran into a 03-04 Mach 1 today...

You finger waggers will have fun with this one I'm sure. I was just cruising around in the Stang today and some guy comes up from behind me in a blue on black Mach 1. He was in the mood to let it hang out so I was curious to see how this would come out on such evenly matched cars. He was real serious cause he even went as far as doing a real small burnout to warm the tires a bit.
Didn't help him much, cause his reaction times weren't as good as mine, and when I had the jump on him, he just got to see lots of the 05 booty. I would only take it up to 80-90 then back down as it's just not very safe, even with limited traffic. Guess this guy was taking it personally cause he would haul hiney to the next light where I'd beat him again.
So my first kill worthy of note. 03-04 Mustang Mach 1.

Acording to "that other" Mustang site, just about any other gen Mustang will spank the weak overated 05 GT. :shock:
I like to read some of their forums though, it's got atleast some entertainment value.

A kill is not a kill unless you take it the whole 1/4. Taking it up to 85 with a car that hooks well might beat a lot of cars......... to 85.......but at the end of 1/4 you will still lose. This is not a rip, please dont take it as one.

ok I post on both boards... and just love your tudes... the guy who posted was spot on with his assesment..... you guys forget the four valve shines in third gear. I have an off-road x and k&n cai and my car is trapping high 105's consistently.... The 05 is set up to really dig first and second (stoplight racing) take it to a quarter mile and I haven't seen anything that impressive..... The machs major problem is it can't hook especially without dr's.... Nobody gives you guys tudes unless provoked, so get the chip off your shoulders and drive on.....

Seems that a higher top speed in the quarter isn 't gonna guarantee you a win anyway...Plus, I've taken out multiple Mach's on sprints all the way to 120+ since I've had mine. I will say this, at least the mach owners I've run up on have been willing to race. I've had a ton of GT's that wouldn't even play around despite obvious modwork. I vote we all just stick to taking out the ricers and the chevy's and be happy.....
