O/R X-pipe and stock muff or SLP and stock cats
I currently have SLP loudmouth's on my car and stock catted x-pipe. I LOVE the way it sounds. I have an unknown brand off road X pipe waiting to be installed (got it really cheap) but I keep reading how bad of an idea this is.
I like the loud muscular sound from the SLP's.
but I cant help but be curious how the exhaust would sound with this O/R X-pipe and some my stock mufflers.
who likes what setup? anyone got sound clips

Loudmouth system is pretty loud. Off road X won't make it much louder. May actually sound better without the cats. Stock mufflers with o/r X will be disappointing.

Not true. The cats do most DEFINITELY silence the sound and with an off road X, the sound will be louder then now with the cats.

I have one of each in my neighborhood. Just slp cat back in a 01 gt really loud. Another guys has long tubes, no cats, and slp cat back. Not quite as loud. May have something to do with pipe sizes or the addition of headers. But a noticeable difference.

thanks for the thoughts. I think when I get my tunes done for the CAI I will go ahead and have them turn off the rear O2's as well. that way I can throw the O/R-X on the car and see if I like it with the SLP's or swap the stock mufflers back on and try that. and if I dont like it, its not that hard to switch back.
