NISSAN FRONTIER V6 '05 VS RAM HEMI '04
#1
Hi guys, I got a nice one for the band.
My wife has a 2005 Nissan frontier crew cab V6 5AT,
A friend of mine, just got a dodge ram 2004 with a hemi, 5.7 5AT also, it is a crew cab long bed.
originally, he wanted to race me against the mustang gt, but there is not even a point to it, so I told him , I can leave him in the dust with my wife's truck heh.
what would be the best way to "launch" the 5 speed auto from standing point?
what do you think about the race? I am thinking in going next week to the track to take him down.
I am confident in my Nissan

I think that you'll smoke him. I had a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4 door with the V6 and I raced a freind that had a 2003 Dodge Extra Cab Ram with the Hemi and I smoked him like a joint! 3 Races!
Come to think of it my Toyota also beat my stock 91 5.0 Auto GT when I lined 'em up. The GT was bone stock but still.......
Go Toyota!

nice man!
in numbers, the nissan makes 0-60 in 7.6 and the ram in about 8.6, it should be easy, I do like more the ram than the frontier (basic mid size against full size), but I have to give the Nissan all my respect, I took that truck over 120 mph like nothing, it has a VQ(same motor the nissan 350Z) but taken to 4 liter for more torque, and 265 horses, more than the V8 dakota that goes against in the segment.
I highly recommend it if anyone is looking for a nice mid size truck.

As sad as it is to say, the lghter Nissan will probably waste the Hemi. Especially if its a crew cab long bed model. That would weigh at least 3.5 tons w/o a driver... versus about 2.5 tons max for the Nissan. 80hp won't make the difference.
