last nigh while heading to fridays I raced my friend in her vette, had been egging her into it all night except she kept saying no and then on the way there she pulls a ricer manuver and does the creep and sling shot by move, pull up to the next light and said we should try that again but from a stop so its a fair race, we made a small detour to an empty off the beaten path road and had a go, it definately is a drivers race when the 05 has some slight mods.....

Id say the vette is a bit quicker still to 50 mph but from there to a hundred my car was a bit quicker, so it was very even the whole way, I barely nosed her out by maybe a car lenght probably a little less, hard to tell when she shut it down and we were running out of straight road, so I started to back off at 100mph, but she got a jump on me about a car of the line, then I caught up and was on her door until about 50-55 then I started to pull ahead and when we shut it down I was about a car up on her....

now I wanted to see if it was the driver, and make sure it was a fair test (even though its not too hard to just step on it, it is an auto), so I asked to drive it and did the same run in both cars and thats where I noticed that if there is a difference it is where the more power is, the vette is a little faster at first like I said and then the stang took charge, I think in a heads up drag race my car would honestly win, but it would definately be a close one.

That C5 is an extrordinary car. I've never had the opportunity to drag one, but I played a little 'tag' in the mountains w/ one - we went back and forth between 70 and 120, but he always stayed ahead. I've driven one auto C5 and I must say the car's decievingly fast.
I'd love the opportunity to race one, stock to stock the GT loses, but your mods can really narrow the gap.
